Terms & Conditions

Last updated 22 April 2026

These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') govern your use of the KD Fine Jewellery website located at www.kdfinejewellery.com ('the Website') and any purchase you make from us. By accessing this Website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. About Us

KD Fine Jewellery is a fine jewellery brand based in London, United Kingdom. All legal and contractual matters are governed by the laws of England and Wales unless otherwise specified. References to 'we', 'us', or 'our' mean KD Fine Jewellery. References to 'you' or 'your' mean the customer.

2. Eligibility & Acceptance

By placing an order or using this Website, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age or have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction;
  • You are not prohibited by any applicable law from purchasing our products;
  • All information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

3. Products & Descriptions

We take great care to present our jewellery as accurately as possible. However, you acknowledge that:

  • Colours and finishes may appear slightly different on-screen depending on your device display settings;
  • All gemstone weights, metal weights, and dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly;
  • Certain items are handmade or handfinished, which may result in minor variations between pieces — this is a feature of artisan quality, not a defect;
  • Product availability is subject to change without notice.

4. Pricing

All prices displayed on the Website are in Great British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise stated. Prices are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. KD Fine Jewellery reserves the right to amend pricing at any time without prior notice. If an error in pricing is discovered after your order has been accepted, we will notify you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order.

5. Orders & Contract Formation

When you place an order on our Website, the following process applies:

  • You submit your order by completing the checkout process and clicking 'Place Order';
  • You will receive an automated order acknowledgement email — this is not acceptance of your order;
  • A contract is formed between you and KD Fine Jewellery only when we dispatch your order and send you a shipping confirmation email;
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including but not limited to situations where items are out of stock, where pricing errors have occurred, or where we suspect fraudulent activity.

6. Bespoke & Custom Orders

Where you have commissioned a bespoke or custom piece from KD Fine Jewellery:

  • Bespoke orders are non-refundable and non-exchangeable once production has commenced;
  • A deposit may be required to begin production — this deposit is non-refundable if you cancel after work has begun;
  • Production timescales will be agreed in writing at the time of order;
  • Any changes to the design specification after production has commenced may incur additional charges;
  • Ownership of the final piece transfers to you only upon full payment.

7. Returns & Refunds

7.1 Standard Returns

We accept returns on standard (non-bespoke) items purchased through our online store, subject to the following conditions:

  • You must notify us of your intention to return within 14 calendar days of receiving your order;
  • Items must be returned in their original, unworn condition with all original packaging, tags, and certificates intact;
  • Items must not be damaged, altered, resized, or show signs of wear;
  • Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or was sent in error;
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured postal service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

7.2 Refund Process

Upon receipt and inspection of your returned item, we will process your refund within 14 business days. Refunds will be made to the original payment method. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item is returned in unsatisfactory condition.

7.3 Faulty or Damaged Items

If you receive an item that is faulty or damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We will offer a repair, replacement, or full refund at our discretion.

7.4 Bespoke Items

Bespoke, personalised, or custom-made items are exempt from standard return rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (UK) and equivalent international legislation. These items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless they are faulty.

8. UK Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK law, including but not limited to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Under UK law, you have the right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of delivery (the 'cooling-off period'), except where the goods are personalised, bespoke, or made to specification.

9. International Customers — EU

For customers located within the European Union, your consumer rights are additionally protected under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights and relevant national implementing legislation. You retain a 14-day right of withdrawal on eligible purchases. The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

Prices on our Website may not include applicable import duties, customs taxes, or VAT applicable in your country. These are entirely the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend checking with your local customs authority before placing an international order.

10. International Customers — United States

For customers located in the United States, our Website is offered on an 'as is' basis without any warranty, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Your purchase is subject to US federal and state consumer protection laws to the extent they apply. Import duties, customs fees, and applicable state sales taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer. By placing an order, you confirm compliance with all applicable US laws regarding the importation of goods.

11. International Customers — Rest of World

For customers outside the UK, EU, and US: the products sold by KD Fine Jewellery are lawful in the United Kingdom. It is your responsibility to ensure that any items you order comply with all laws and regulations in your country, including import restrictions, precious metal regulations, and gemstone import rules. All taxes, duties, and customs fees are payable by the buyer. We reserve the right to restrict shipping to certain countries where legal or logistical constraints apply.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website — including but not limited to photography, design, text, logos, and product imagery — is the exclusive intellectual property of KD Fine Jewellery or its licensors. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any content without our prior written permission. This includes use on social media, press, or commercial platforms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KD Fine Jewellery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Website or purchase of our products. Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the order in question.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version published on our Website at the time of your order shall apply. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.
